"Women are like white cloth and men are like gold. If you drop a piece of gold in the mud, it can be cleaned. But if you drop white cloth in the mud, it is stained forever."
This Cambodian proverb refers to the importance of virginity in traditional Cambodian culture. But with powerful detergents nowadays even the worst stains are easily removed. So is the case with women virginity which has modern technology to fix the wrong so that they can repeat the abortion exercise regularly. Sometimes these proverbs must be updated and brought into line with modernity.
