On his enroute to South Korea to meet the growing swath of Christians there, Pope Francis gave a word of assurance to China not to fear Christians, for they don't intend any evil against it. What he wants is to turn China away from its current geo-political and economic focus and to bring it under the tutelage of Christian domination through their respective faithfuls in China. This is not something new, for centuries before him Marco Polo did the same and the events that unfolded thereafter took the Mongols to invade the Muslim lands. It is important for the Chinese hawks to be mindful of the schemes of this holy "dove" and not "cow" is trying to plot. I am sure the much cultivated Straits Anglo Chinese will be very useful in smoothening the transition to Christianity. Perhaps it is with this consideration the British left Hong Kong to be the center for Christianizing China. But they didn't do the same when they left India.
